Hi! I’m 23 years old and found out my amh was .35 back in August and then was told it was .5. I had an hsg and everything was clear. I don’t have pcos, my doctor said I don’t have endometriosis, my other hormone levels are fine. My significant other had labs done and his results were perfect. My doctor put me on clomid 50mg but nothing has happened yet. If I get my cycle this will be my 3rd cycle on clomid. My question is will clomid work for someone with low amh? Any advice or anything. I ovulate every month i feel stuck.

<p>Ovarian age testing is very confusing for patients. Your AMH level is low but that has not been shown to have a negative affect on your ability to naturally conceive. Your chronological age is the best indicator of a quality, which appears to be good. If your menstrual cycles are monthly then presumably you are ovulating. The basic evaluation for infertility includes a sperm analysis, hysterosalpingogram, and assessment of ovulation. If all of this is normal then a trial of stimulation, ultrasound monitoring, with intrauterine insemination is appropriate. Recently letrozole has been shown to have a better outcome than Clomid. If IUI is unsuccessful then consideration of IVF is reasonable. Hope this helps.</p>
